The Gigabit Passive PoE Injector Module 12V to 24V/48V is a compact DC-DC power converter designed to power compatible Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices directly from a 12V DC power supply or battery system.
Featuring a switch-selectable 24V or 48V passive PoE output, this module converts 12V DC input power into a higher voltage and injects it into an Ethernet cable, allowing compatible networking equipment to receive both data and power through a single connection.
With dual RJ45 Ethernet ports supporting Gigabit data transmission up to 1000Mbps, the module is ideal for powering compatible wireless access points, outdoor CPE devices, wireless bridges, IP cameras and other passive PoE networking equipment.
The integrated DC-DC boost converter provides voltage conversion without requiring a separate mains-powered PoE injector, making this module particularly useful for solar installations, off-grid networking, battery backup systems and remote wireless communication projects.
Its compact PCB design makes it suitable for installation inside electronic enclosures, networking cabinets and custom power distribution systems.

How Does the Passive PoE Injector Work?
The Gigabit Passive PoE Injector combines Ethernet data and DC power into a single Ethernet cable.
-
Connect 12V DC Power: Supply the module with 12V DC using the included barrel jack connection.
-
Select the Output Voltage: Set the onboard selector switch to either 24V or 48V according to the connected device's requirements.
-
Connect the LAN Cable: Connect an Ethernet cable from your router, network switch or other Ethernet source to the LAN port.
-
Connect the PoE Device: Connect a compatible passive PoE device to the PoE output port using an Ethernet cable.
-
Power and Data Transmission: The module delivers Ethernet data and the selected DC voltage to the connected device.
This provides a convenient solution for supplying power and network connectivity through a single Ethernet cable.
Important Compatibility Information
Passive PoE Only: This module uses passive Power over Ethernet technology and does not support IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at or 802.3bt power negotiation.
Device Compatibility: Only connect equipment specifically designed to accept the selected 24V or 48V passive PoE voltage and the module's power injection configuration.
Incorrect Voltage Warning: Connecting a 24V device while the module is set to 48V may permanently damage the connected equipment.
Non-PoE Equipment: Do not connect laptops, computers, standard Ethernet switches or other non-PoE devices directly to the powered PoE output.
Output Current: The maximum output is approximately 1.2A at 24V or 0.6A at 48V. Ensure the connected equipment does not exceed these ratings.
Power Supply Requirements: Use a suitable 12V DC power supply capable of delivering approximately 3A or more, depending on operating conditions.
PoE Pinout: Verify the required passive PoE polarity and pin configuration of the connected equipment before installation. Not all passive PoE devices use the same power injection arrangement.
Voltage Selection: Always disconnect power before changing the 24V/48V selector switch.
