Important Notes
- This module is a linear voltage regulator (LDO) and not a switching buck converter.
- The input voltage should always be approximately 1.3V higher than the required output voltage for proper regulation.
- As excess voltage is converted into heat, efficiency decreases when there is a large difference between the input and output voltages. For higher current applications or larger voltage drops (for example, converting 12V to 5V at high current), a switching buck converter is recommended.
