Compact 5V Active Buzzer with built-in oscillator for alarms, notifications and audible indicators. This 12mm PCB mount buzzer operates from 3.5–5.5V DC and produces a continuous tone when powered, making it ideal for Arduino, microcontroller, robotics and DIY electronics projects.
The 5V Active Buzzer is a compact electronic sounder designed to provide an audible tone for alarms, warning systems, notifications and electronic projects. With its small 12mm diameter and through-hole pins, it can easily be installed on a PCB, breadboard or prototype circuit.
Unlike a passive buzzer that requires an external oscillating signal, this active buzzer features a built-in oscillator. Simply apply the correct DC voltage across the terminals and the buzzer generates a continuous audible tone.
Operating from approximately 3.5V to 5.5V DC, with a nominal voltage of 5V DC, the buzzer is well suited to Arduino, microcontroller, robotics and general electronics applications.
The polarity marking on the buzzer makes it easy to identify the positive terminal for correct installation.

An active buzzer contains its own oscillator, which means it can generate a tone when the appropriate DC voltage is applied. A passive buzzer requires an external oscillating or PWM signal to produce a tone.
